Catching up
Well hello! Here I am, I haven't disappeared, I'm just wanting to catch up on my life adventures. In contrary to my previous posts, I didn't follow my own advice; I didn't really follow my heart. I tried to resign several times from work but ended up taking the opportunity. Do I regret it? No. It's taught me a lot; it's taught me that I can really live with very little which reinforced my commitment to follow a minimalist lifestyle. I've realized, at this point in my life, that the corporate world is no longer for me; it no longer serves me. I've been living overseas in a relatively poor country for over a month now and I'm really struggling to adapt. My health (mind, body and spirit) and nutrition which are both extremely important to me, have taken a beating. I believe I have more self-compassion for myself to enable me to cut loose from the corporate world once and for all. Money is a thing but not everything. I believe I've been trying to please others and not wanting to disappoint them seeing they have done so much for me. I have been very fortunate with my bosses in the past; they have always been great and I felt so loyal to them. But at the end of the day everybody's replaceable. I'm a very loyal person and hate to disappoint people but right now my life is following the corporate structure and not bringing me any joy at all.
Life's big decisions
Here I am thinking I'm following the correct path with my life's decision. In fact, with the new information I have received this past week, it is straying me away from what I'm truly seeking in life. Am I only using the corporate opportunity to allow exploring the world on employer's cost? Do I want the company to lead and make my life decisions? I had an 'AHA' moment this morning after pondering what my mother asked me yesterday. 'Why exactly are you doing this, is it to set yourself up financially without any expenses for 2 years?' Initially, before this entire employment opportunity was offered, I was already resigning from the corporate world to launch my two online businesses of personal training and life coaching because what truly brings me happiness is serving and helping others become the best versions of themselves; healthy and thriving individuals undertaking whatever goals they wish to accomplish in life. Seeing clients discover their 'AHA' moment, brings me pure joy. Am I serving others in the corporate world? Not in my position. As I write this blog, my decision is becoming solidified. There's no more wasting time, now is the time. 1,440 minutes are going to pass today—whether I use them for good or merely let them pass by is ultimately up to me.
At a cross-road in life
Have you ever felt yourself at a cross-road with decision making? When life throws you different opportunities, how do you decide? What is your process making decision model? Through my life coaching certification you would think I'd be a master at decision making but us coaches too, also need to take a step back and follow our own learnings. What exactly are my values? What makes my heart flutter? Is it the corporate world or life coaching/personal health & fitness coaching? Sometime I believe I get caught up in the finance aspects and climbing the corporate ladder but is that really what brings me joy? I can honestly say that it does not. What does bring me joy, is helping others achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves. That feeling I get when my client discovers their 'AHA' moment is like no other feeling. It brings me such joy. As I'm writing this blog, I'm already feel giddy in wanting to help more people find their 'moment' and their purpose in whichever aspect of life goals they may choose..
The next chapter of my life
I'm back and I apologize for the absence. My life has gone through a life transformation and can't wait to share it with my audience. Other than being a Certified Fitness Coach, I have recently graduated from the Jay Shetty Life Certification School and I am now a Certified Life Coach. These last 5 months working towards my certification have been life changing; the best decision of my life. Not only do I have a passion to help others who are struggling in life but at the same time and changed my thoughts and mindset for the greater good. I am so much more peaceful, focus and finally able to make decision towards my life goals.
When you need to take action
Well after some technical difficulties, I'm back at writing and sharing my feelings once again. I came to realize that posting everyday might be a little difficult with everything else going on in life. My aim is to blog a few times per week. I've also been stuck in a rut for the past couple of weeks; so many options I can pursue but my problem is to choose one and not let myself be distracted by the next opportunity that appears. I need to focus on exactly what my heart tells me to do and follow it through. Sometimes it's good to share with others but sometimes it's better to keep it to yourself and avoid being swayed by other people's opinions on what you SHOULD do. No one ones you better than yourself and you owe that to yourself to trust your instinct and follow your heart. I'm a person who over analyzes things to death but somehow I know eventually I will get that 'Eureka' moment and I think this morning it finally happened. I'm committed and ready to take action. Sure there will be ebbs and flows in my decision, but overall I must remain consistent and TAKE ACTION. No more excuses! That's it for today. Have a wonderful Wednesday and chat later ;)
Sometime all you need is a friend
Do you ever feel like you're stuck in a rut? You have so many options but have difficulty narrowing it down to your preferred choice without being sidetracked by another new opportunity? I am currently experiencing this exact dilemma but after a wonderful weekend spent with a close friend, we were able to have a candid open conversation about our lives. I came out of the weekend with a sense of direction, at least for the meantime ;) Sometime being able to talk openly about your feelings with your friend is all you need to hear yourself. Most of the time, you have the answer, you just need to hear it out loud. Has this ever happened to you? If you're experiencing the same feelings in your life, I challenge you to list your options and assign pros and cons along with each options. When you start this exercise, the momentum starts and you get in the flow of your ideas and feelings being displayed on the piece of paper. Don't let fear hold you back from what could be the best opportunity in your life! Happy Monday!
The Beginning of Uncluttering Thoughts
Well today is my first day writing my first post on my newly started blog. I'm not too sure what exactly I'm doing seeing this is all new to me but I decided to dive into it and see where it takes me. I'm looking to explore and share random thoughts with other people around the world. I've always wanted to start a blog but fear kept getting in the way. The feeling of always worrying what other people think began to get exhausting and finally decided to move on with my life. Hopefully I will be able to connect with like-minded people. I'm hoping to keep this up and start building a daily habit of sharing personal life events, the good and the not so good :) Welcome in joining me through this adventurous journey and thank you for reading. Feel free to leave your comments.
